If you are not fond of the ranger finder focusing of the Leica M, then this might be for you. The new M EV1 by Leica is an all digital from the sensors to the electronic viewfinder. Just think of this as a Leica M with an eletronic viewfinder. The main specs are 60MP full frame sensors with a Mastro III processor, 4.5 fps of continuous shooting with a 1/4000s mechnical shutter speed, and a 2.32 million dots resolution display. The main star of this camera is the 5.76 MP electronic viewfinder, which is high definition and this means it will be easier to focus when using M mount lenses. As of right now, it will only come in a black color body with the red dot in the center. Also, it will not have any articulation in the screen. As with Leica, this will be expensive and it is priced at $9,000. Check it out!

This is one expensive camera. Many Leica purist will not like this camera as many of them will think it does not have the Leica soul as with many Leica rangerfinders. It is good to see Leica’s giving other users an option but this is an expensive option.
