Here we have a vintage LEVI’S 505 from 1996 and Made in USA. Quite a rare jean as this used to be common where LEVI’S were still made in the USA back then. Additionally, the denim has a great hand feel, quality and fades.
Let’s get started!
Fades on the thigh and knee. Has the salt and pepper jeans fade.
Chain stitch inside waistband, LEVI’S rivets and waistband buttons. Bartacks on the belt loops.
Levi’s branded rivets. All 6 total.
Straight stitch hem. Not surprise as this is a 1990s LEVI’S 505 Although the hem has nice fades and washed out look.
The inside label with MADE IN USA, 505 and fit size.
LEVI’S branded zipper.
YKK made the zippers for LEVI’S.
The story of LEVI’S and quality. Not sure If i can say the same for the LEVI’S being made today.
The red tab. Up close on the bartacks on the back pocket.
The back patch. original size was 32 waist and 34 length but the jean had shrinkages and is now 31 waist and 33 length.
Chain stitch on the inseam using white threads inside.
Here is the back and similar look as on the front. Boxy shape waist with straight look.
The jean itself is tight on me, It will take sometime to break this one as I am sure it will relax overtime.
To conclude, LEVI’S back then definitely is showing its quality here. No wonder people love vintage LEVI’S so much. From the fabric to the fades. LEVI’S do look great when it is washed out and fades.
