Not entirely sure why Squale needs to add Sub-39 wording into the model name but it certainly gets my attention. This watch is a GMT watch from Squale. As per name, it has fake patinas on the markets, hands, and GMT numbers to show a vintage look. Design from their diver watches. The bezel has 24 hours makers with a bi-directional operations. It is powered by the ETA 2893-2 automatic, which has 50 hours of power reserve and 28,800 bph. Made from stainless steel, sapphire crystal glass with anti reflective coating and resistant up to 300 meters. The marker glows due to the Superluminova. I like the size of the watch at 39mm but I do not like the fake patina look. Squale should have just kept it white and let us watch wearer’s wear the watch until it forms a patina on the markers. It is a great step to Squale’s portfolio of their heritage and vintage watches.
