Sony – Alpha 1

Sony have announced their new flagship camera, the Alpha 1. Boring name aside, this camera has a DSLR body that packs a 50MP that is accompanied by the new BIONZ XR processor. The sensor also has 5-axis image stabilization. Not only that, it can shoot 155 RAW images in its big memory buffer. Sony have also included a 9.44 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder for clearer screen. Connectivity wise, this has a full size ethernet, HDMI, microphone and headphone input and it can be charged via USB-C. For the videographers, this can shoot 8K with 30 fps. This has all the makings of a being the best camera out there but it cost $6,500. It is not cheap but nut cameras will never be.

As of right now, this camera by Sony is overpriced. Also, the technology is not there yet to fully use it. 4K is not even common yet when it comes to broadcasting and even movies. Additionally, you will certainly need to upgrade your computer when editing pictures and videos. Maybe in 5 years, it will be used as its full potential. Oh, it does not have fully articulated screen.
