Baselworld 2018 was full of surprises and thin is in. Seiko created this 3.7mm automatic watch called the Presage SJE073. Made from steel and using a new movement, 6L35. It has textured dials, dated on 3’o clock position, blue seconds hand and the Presage branding. It also comes with a steel bracelet with shine and satin finish. The crown of this watch has the S branding. It is a limited edition piece that will be made in 1,881 pieces. And it will also cost $2200. No word on the release date yet but if you are fan of thin watches then this should be on your radar.
It is too bad that this only comes in 40.6mm case as I think it is too big for any formal or classic looking watches. I do like that it is thin and will be easier to wear when wearing a suit. Watches like these are easy to wear because it feels like you are not wearing it.
