Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge at Mobile World Congress 2015. Design from the ground up, this flagship has taken on two models. The S6 and the S6 Edge, which is curved on both sides. Below is a list of major features.
- 1440 x 2560 resolution upgrade while still keeping the 5.1″ screen
- Touchwiz upgrade to Android Lollipop
- New touch finger print sensor
- Aluminum frame with front and back glass panel
- 32/64/128 GB internal storage with non-expandable memory
- 16 Megapixel with optical image stabilization
- Exynos 7420 chipset in all models worldwide
- Curved screen, only on the Galaxy S6 Edge
There are a lot to like about the two models of the Galaxy S6, Samsung will make sure that this model of their flagship will be their most successful and profitable model yet. Availability is rumored to be in the second quarter of the year but it is to be determined by country to country.
Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are a beautiful piece of technology. There is no doubt that there are a lot to like about these models but I hate the back glass as this will be will be a fragile device. Also, I hate the fact the removable battery and micro SD memory has been removed. It is what I liked about Samsung but those two features has been removed. Will see how consumers will react to this model. Certainly, I will not get this model.
