Well, if you are looking for a freak sounding desktop speakers then Sony might have the answer. These speakers is the SA-Z1 and is part of the Signature series. The features list are expansive but notably it has precise driver with customer FPGA architecture, wide ranger in a single driver, i-Array tweeters to reach 100 kHz, horizontal placed subwoofers, and Hybrid amplifier with GaN power device to provide maximum output. The front design is normal but it has two tweeters to reduce vibration. It has a optical input, USB, and aux input. The control are analog and placed on the top of the speakers. The purpose of this speakers to create a near field sound entertainment. No price and will soon be available.
I do not know the price yet but this mostly like be in the thousands of dollars. Knowing Sony, they always overprice. Also, I truly hope this can deliver the best sounding sounds in a near field manner.
