  • App Permission – In this update, we can finally set the permission that an app access. No more flashlight accessing photos!
  • Web Actions – Chrome will be able to interact with apps when it comes to opening links. No more choosing which app will the link open. Also Chrome will adapt to certain apps to make it look like it is the same app.
  • Fingerprint Usage – Finally adopting the tech, Android M will be able to unlock the phone just by fingerprints. It still needs hardware to take advantage of this feature.
  • Mobile Payment – Google is finally going back to expand it’s wallet.via Android Pay. Still using NFC tech but this time, they are finally going full force with this after a lack luster first round.
  • Battery Saving – A great feature that they have announced. If the phone is left alone, the software will pause all background apps and put them on standby until the phone is used again to save battery.
  • Google Photos – This is one of the most major app and feature that Google has present. It will be the photo app that rules them all. It can keep photos and videos, not only that it can search by face, or certain feature that a photo will have such as the sky. If you decide to download this app, it has unlimited storage but with limits of only saving 1080p videos and maximum of 16 megapixel photos.

That is it for Google I/O 2015. The presentation of more of an update instead of an upgrade. Google is updating the basics after the ridiculous craziness and bugged out problem that Lollipop has. Hopefully this update will make Android a smoother experience. I am looking forward to using it as there are great improvements.
