Converse is embracing recycled plastics and turning them into shoes. By using recycled plastic, they are producing their classic line. The high top and the low top, Basically, their Chuck Taylor. They are calling these shoes the ‘Chuck 70 Renew.’ The shoes will retain the shapes, the cotton shoe laces, the rubber outsole, and the back heel converse patch. Nothing change except for the materials. These shoes will be available in July 5th and the pricing will be similar as to the classic converse chucks.
I am glad to see Converse is taking the initiative to reuse plastic to make their shows. Not only that, their shoes should be water repellent as they are made from recycled plastic. I am hoping to see converse do more of this in the future.
